It has been confirmed that Daniel Ricciardo will leave McLaren at the end of 2022 following weeks of speculation about his future.

The two sides have mutually agreed to terminate Ricciardo's 2023 contract early, bringing the Australian's two years with the Woking-based squad to a close.

Ricciardo joined McLaren at the start of 2021, a year in which his main highlight was winning the Italian Grand Prix in a 1-2 with teammate Lando Norris.

His best result so far in 2022 has been a P6 at the Australian Grand Prix, and he currently sits 12th in the World Championship standings on 19 points.
